چکیده

Abstract One of the problems involving water bodies is pollution sources, which later becomes parent various social, economic, and health problems. these conditions can be overcome by utilizing phytoremediation through constructed wetlands. HYDRUS a software that offers easy modelling pollutant decay mechanisms in wetlands using finite element method. This study aims to show analyse how model mechanism wetland The parameters observed are time for pollutant, namely ammonia, nitrate, inorganic phosphorous, reach outlet, response curve loading on model. From simulation, it inferred maximum velocity going 8.11 m/day, or 811 cm/day. dominating around 160 cm/day, 1.6 m/day. transport also accordance with theoretical impulse loading. result yields effectivity simulated wetland, 90.33% ammonia 90.26% phosphorous. quite optimistic may caused assumptions made model, goes simplification It differences plants assumption. In plant used grass, does not specify what kind grass. Meanwhile, physical simulation uses bamboo.

Numerical modelling: a tool for better constructed wetland design?

There is a need for a simplified computer-based design tool for subsurface flow constructed wetlands (CWs) which is based on process-based numerical models. Parameters of existing design guidelines and rules have been derived from experiments under specific conditions. Therefore designing CWs using these parameters is limited to these conditions (i.e., temperature, wastewater composition, filte...

The verification of the Constructed Wetland Model No. 1 implementation in HYDRUS using column experiment data

The Constructed Wetland Model No. 1 (CWM1) is a biokinetic model describing microbial dynamics and transformation and degradation processes in subsurface flow constructed wetlands. The implementation of CWM1 in the HYDRUS program package (©PC Progress s.r.o.) was verified using data from controlled environment column experiments. These 20-day long batch experiments used synthetic wastewater and...

Reac ve Transport Modeling of Subsurface Flow Constructed Wetlands Using the HYDRUS Wetland Module

Constructed wetlands (CWs) are engineered water treatment systems designed to remove various types of contaminants. A large number of processes simultaneously contribute to water quality improvement in CWs. During the last decade, there has been a wide interest in the understanding of complex “constructed wetland” systems, including the development of numerical process-based models describing t...

Design-support and performance estimation using HYDRUS/CW2D: a horizontal flow constructed wetland for polishing SBR effluent.

The 4,000 PE (700 m(3)/d) wastewater treatment plant at Balf, Hungary was based on sequencing batch reactor technology with phosphorus precipitation as the tertiary step. Its effluent met quality thresholds on average, with above-threshold peaks mainly in winter. The HYDRUS/CW2D model package (PC Progress s.r.o.) was used to simulate the treatment performance of a horizontal flow constructed we...

Modelling of a constructed wetland for pesticide mitigation

The Water Framework Directive and the Ecophyto 2018 plan provides for measures against water chemical pollution. In the agricultural context, pesticide are a real stress for surrounding environment. Measures have been taken to reduce this stress, namely the reduction of chemical application, and the implantation of buffer zones like artificial wetland at the outlet of the agricultural watershed...
